These pictures were taken one day after picking.
Habitat: Grassy area beside a sidewalk..I believe cedar trees were nearby..should've paid more attention!..still a noob..
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia. (are cities too specific? )
Cap: Golden colored, conic. Some darker in center.
Gills: Mainly white, with some shading around.
Stem: White, on the meaty side.
No blueing reaction at time of picture and no spore print was taken.
Any help would be very appreciated..they look quite similiar to the type usually sold around here (cubensis?). Sorry if details are not good enough, still new to the art. Btw, my main resource is Paul Stamets guide 'Psilocybin mushrooms of the World'. Seems to be quite comprehensive and have found it quite informative, but have much more to study. Are any other guides or resources recommended or is considered to have all the necessary information?
Thanks again guys!

Ah I see! I know some species of inocybe are apparently actives, does anyone have an idea what species it may be?
Thanks guys!

Without my books (and unfortunately I'm at work right now), I can't tell you, which one are the actives, but I wouldn't suggest eating them anyway, because many also contain other alkaloids that may cause sickness and other symptoms. i'd stick to Psilocybes and Pans

Inocybe ID is really hard, you usually need a microscope to determine the species. There are hundreds of species of Inocybe and only a handful of actives.
The active ones usually stain blue or green, especially at the stem base and center of the disc.
