knotty.. the reason why he said that is because this topic has been discussed 1,000 times in the last month..
searching is very easy... but i would recommend chilling out. the answer has been given in about every post..
jeeterd is a respected member on this board.. not to get on any ones bad side, but snapping on him is not the way to earn respect around here..

Search vicks 400. Also, the Vicks Kaz. You need an impeller type cool mist, not the kind that blow air through a wet filter-like material. Here's the Vicks 400: http://www.medfinity.com/web/product/Vicks_Cool_Evaporative_Humidifier-V400/ID/270/product_detail_info.asp RR

wasnt snapping,,sorry if it sounded that way,,appologies..anyways i thanks rr for the advise. i found the vicks works well but havent found it at any stores around here...all i was asking was if the 2nd coolmist shown would have worked. i looked for specs, but said nothing. i was just asking cause i knew someone would know if that exact one worked or not. i do look everything up before i post it. just asking for personal advise.

yea, sorry.. that second one posted is an evaporative humidifier...
what it does is pools up water in a catch pod... and sucks the air coming from the pool of water.. its bad because water is left stagnant and is prone to harbor contaminants...

what i do.....
i have an old school kaz coolmist at the bottom of my greenhouse... and i use that exact evaporative humidifier on the top...
BUT.. i dont not use water with the evaporative.. i only use it because the fan used with this humidifier is very nice and powerful.. i use it strictly for FAE. pretty much.. its just sittint on the top shelf with no water container.. runs once every hour.. for 15 min at a time.

hahah i didn't mean to come off as a complete asshole, but i've read this same thread nine times the past few days...
and i keep getting tired of seeing posts about "Yet another (enter your problem here) question"
as if the original posters KNOW that it's already been asked this week, but somehow THEIR questions is omnipotent.
just gets old. and besides, i edited out my original post twenty seconds after i originally posted it. it's been hours now.

I think people who have been here a while, and visit every day, should expect some repeat questions. The beauty of it is you dont even have to open the post to complain, let alone type anything. But hey who am I but someone who doesnt even have a thousand posts yet.

man post count doesn't matter, it's a trend that's been in progress since I had 0 posts, and i noticed it then. It's simply "How to I use this board efficiently, and not clutter it up".
