Ingredients per serving:

3 fresh mint sprigs
2 tsp sugar
3 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 1/2 oz light rum
club soda

In a tall thin glass, crush part of the mint with a fork to coat the inside. Add the sugar and lime juice and stir thoroughly. Top with ice. Add rum and mix. Top off with *chilled* club soda (or seltzer). Add a lime slice and the remaining mint, and serve.

Mojitos are my favorite.

I like w/ a gold rum though.

The gold rum gives it a stronger taste. I haven't tried the Mango Mojito, but it sounds good.

Mango Mojito

Ingredients per Serving:

1 1/2 oz Cruzan® mango rum
3 oz club soda
4 mint leaves
1 lime wedge

Muddle the mint leaves and lime wedge in the bottom of an old-fashioned glass. Add Cruzan mango rum and club soda as above or adjusted to taste. Add ice cubes, and serve.

Mojitos are great.

Sangria is the bomb though.

Looks good.  I never actually had one. I'd probably go for the top one though becasue that cruzan stuff isn't strong enough for me.

You like sangria? Ever tried it the proper way? After living for 21 years in Spain, this is the best recipe I have found

Ingredients:

Red wine. Don't use a 100$ bottle of wine but don't use wine that comes in a box either. Use something you would be comfortable with if you had to drink it alone.

Brandy. Once again, don't use the expensive stuff but don't use paint stripper either.

Triple Sec liquor. This is a liquor made with orange peel. Cointreau is the most recognized brand, but it is more expensive than the other brands we find over here. Even so, Cointreau is the only one found worldwide so use that if you can't find another.

Fruit. Oranges and lemons (3 oranges per lemon ) are the classic. Others like apple, pear, peach can be added, but make sure the fruit is firm. Cut into thin slices.

Sugar. White, refined.

Get a big jug or punch bowl. Put in the cut up fruit (as much as you want but don't overdo it), 1 cup of sugar per litre of wine (you can add more if you think it needs it later) and the liquor.

The amount of liquor is variable. Here in Spain booze is very cheap. A good brandy can cost as little as 10$ a litre, so people add a fair amount of alcohol, I'd say 2 Spanish measures (4 shot glasses) of each liquour per litre of wine. This may seem a lot bur remember ice dilutes.

Cover this mixture with saran wrap and let it sit for a while. I prepare my jugs the day before and put them in my freezer or fridge. You don't need to let them sit, but it makes preparation that much easier as when your friends arive all you have to do is put ice and wine in the jug and it's done. The flavour does improve if let to sit a few hours.

Once you need your sangria half fill the jug with ice cubes and pour in the wine. Mix well, add more sugar to taste and get plastered.

This sangria if really tasty and refreshing but it packs a punch. It goes down very easily and without noticing it you can easily finish a jug on your own, lol.
