Hello,

first off, i am new to the hobby. I bought RR's video and i want to recommend it to all the other people just getting into the hobby. It is very helpful.

now to my problem.
One day I had too much spawn so i made this huge ass straw tray. 3ftx2ft and about 6 inches deep. I put it in the incubator room and forgot about it. I just looked at it and its all colonized but I am afraid to case it because i frosted it with grain and the grain is all dried out on top so there are small uncolonized patches where it is dry. (it dried because the lid isnt the correct size) I am scared that if i rehydrate it then it will just grow contams.

I was thinking i could just put it in fruiting conditions and see what happens ... or
I was thinking i could maybe just mix a 1:10 h202:water solution and soak a bit of verm in it then case it with that?

What should I do with this mess

thanks all.

If I were you i would mix some coir/poo/straw etc. whatever you can find with all that spawn. Wait until that is fully colonized and then add some moist verm. Since verm is non nutritive you don't need to worry about contams with it, especially if your substrate is fully colonized.
