When should I begin flowering in pots that are 6 inches wide and 5.5 inches deep? I have read 8 inches...

No I don't usg. But I am going to try this. I am wondering if I can get close to the same yield using 16 small pots vs 6 big pots per yr. Taking into consideration the short vegetative phase, I am curious about how this turns out.

With clones you can flower them that early but plants from seed won't turn out that well.

it's all strain dependent really. Indicas tend to have shorter flowering periods while sativas like some extra time. Using the sog method you can technically harvest a crop in 67 days (1 week for clones to root, 60 day min for flowering). But, honestly, it's a bad habit to get into (using a timetable). You're much better off studying your plant and letting it tell you when it's done.
