Sans Torre, I figured he would.

Gotta be the Angels I'd guess. Maybe LA. I got to think he's going to want to be in warm weather, low playoff expectations, with the DH option and one last monster contract. I never really thought he'd go back to the Yankees. It was obvious from the get go that he bit off more than he could chew there.

And the Yanks just offered Girardi a job...

That is the word (Girardi). I hope he takes it, I think he's the best of the candidates for the three pitchers coming up. Mattingly? Man, he'd be really good but he absolutely needed to have managed somewhere at some time. Strange career choice he made. I don't really get it. If he had managed the triple A team instead of sitting in Joe's lap he probably would have been tapped. Feh, I'm happy with Girardi, he was my choice from the beginning.
A-rod. I don't think he wants to stay a Yankee no matter what he says. Unless he is a total pussy ruled by his wife and Boras. I'm going to guess that he probably cost himself money by giving up the guaranteed largesse from the Rangers. The Yanks were in a blind auction for 10 days, with a subsidy, and he opted out. Within 10 minutes. Now the richest team in baseball is out of the auction and Boston has their own salary problems. Mets? Maybe, although I think his wife definitely wants out of NY.

Angels. Almost a lock. I've been saying this since LAST year. Can't blame him. But it was a straight up classless move by Boras & maybe A-Rod (if he had ANYTHING to do with the timing) CLASSLESS!!!
As far a Girardi goes, he's a GREAT pick. For all the obvious baseball reasons. My wife's has some family that we hung out with in Arizona, and they became good friends with the Girardi family after working at the Cubs training facility in Mesa, and from all accounts, he is a great guy top to bottom, and very generous. I've been hoping he'd return to the Cubs for a while now.
