ok..so people of all ages have found ways to become the one to do the least physical labor in their life..by forcing others to do it for them..correct?
is this an inherent desire to live longer by doing less manual work...i was just thinking about this as I sit, almost 20 years old, with injuries building up on my body...yet in 60 more years Ill barely be able to walk..

people that do no physical labor will find themselves withering away sooner than later.
Your body isn't a machine, wear generally makes us stronger, as long as you are taking care of your health, eating right so that your body has everything it needs for repair work, and getting enough sleep.

i know..but i was getting at the acceleration of the process if you do phys labor compared to enslaving people
the idea has to be rooted in some sort of reward system..

That is until NanoTechnology makes us all undying superhumans.

Having slaves is for the accumulation of wealth and power beyond what is needed for survival. This does not equate with long life.

First show me one statistic that having slaves and not working allows one to live longer.

i have know statistical evidence..all i have is the idea that less physical labor throughout ones life time lessens the chances of the body breaking down as quickly..which eventually leads to death
try to be less intent in defeating my idea..rather attempt to comprehend it please

I think you're asking "why are people lazy?" Relaxing, along with adequate exercise and nutrition, relieves stress. The problem is, most people want to avoid the exercise part because we are programed for efficiency. At one point in time, exercise meant exercising survival skills, and we still carry those instincts. If survival is taken care of, on a sub-conscious level there is no reason to exercise, the body wants to conserve. This is why people must push themselves to exercise, and why not exercising is a more intuitive thing to do when exercise is not necessary for survival.
Everything else being equal, your slaves will outlive you. Of course, you might be jealous of their shining physiques, so you could cut their rations and make them work 12-16 hour shifts. That'll get 'em.

Your idea defeats itself because it's illogical, I just point it out to you.
It's repetitive motion that wears the body out and not physical motion per se; that keeps the body strong and supple. So there are other factors at play here which you don't seem to be able to grasp.

you dont need to have repetitive injuries in order to break a leg, hip, or arm..yet as these injuries amount the body becomes weak, sore, and tired..eventually giving up on life completely
i think were debating two different things..
