Dunking Nutrients

Has anyone ever added anything other than water to their dunk? Like maybe honey or some other form of nutrient?

me if you have questions about lasers Although i may advise others in a general way regarding all types of mushroom grows, and may even post question from other forums about growing "active" mushrooms, i only grow non-"active" mushrooms and edibles. FeelFamily resident tech guru

At the point at which the mycelium begins it's fruiting stage it has all the nutrients it needs within it's colonized substrate. Adding any additional nutrients to the dunking water would not only not be used by our favored mycelium it would likely lead to increased opportunities for contamination by adding nutrients for any ready-to-germinate contaminates.
Dunking is only done to supply the colony with a renewed source of moisture to draw upon for the next flush...
