hey there guys. i just have a question about wbs and i'm experimenting with different ways of using it. i'm thinking of birthing the wbs as cakes and wasn't sure if that works. another thing is...say if i cased the a huge tray of mycelium with wbs, wouldn't it be like making a huge ass cake?

I recently experimented with using WBS as a substrate and cased it with peat/verm. It has been pretty damn good! What I did, was poured my fully colonized WBS quart jars and crubled them up in a 1/2 size insert pan. It gave me 5 flushes of decent size mushrooms. I then took the casing off, dunked in the refrigerator for 24 hours, re-cased it and it's on flush number 6 right now as we speak. I will add that when I popped it out of the tray, it was exactly like a PF cake! It held together and didn't even feel like a cake that was composed of thousands of seeds. One solid mass.
These are just some pictures of that project
