Being struck by contamination would be a greater issue of concern than pH, IMO
Not opinion as much as fact The pH won't suddenly go to 12 because you haven't done anything. Repasteurize.

If you have any materials left after being hydrated, make such to dry them out completely and thoroughly before storing them in a sealed container. At next use rehydrate and repasteurize.
Once vermiculite is mixed in to - anything - it becomes harder to set the right moisture content however, which is why we generally advise you to set the moisture content of the vermiculite separately from the other materials.

Don't mistake my tone for a "matter-of-fact" attitude. I'm just presenting what I believe to be correct, until I'm corrected... - How Myco-Curious Prepares Coir & Compost Substrates - How Myco-Curious Builds A Bulk Humidifier - How Myco-Curious Builds An Automated Greenhouse ------------------------------------ figgusfiddus said: Keep in mind that inoculating or whatever in front of a flow hood won't help your bad substrate, your bad inoculant, your bad sterile procedure, etc. etc. etc. It's not a +3 flowhood of magic, it's just a tool.

? Vermiculite is cake to get to field capacity. In PF it's done separately because wet BRF is just goo.
