Thoughts on the Origin of Terran Life

Think of the entire planet as a huge laboratory mixing up chemical broth for a billion years. Over the millenia the temperatures, atmospheric mix, pressure and exposure to radiation has changed dramatically many times. All these changes caused many different molecules to form and dissolve. This part is not in dispute.
Now when we look deeply we see that all Terran life is seemingly related. Humans share much DNA with a yeast and a giant redwood.
One might expect to see a wide variation not only on the macro level, but also on the micro level. This is not so.
What this seems to point to is one of three scenarios:
1. Life is likely to only form in one particular configuration due to chemical bonding constraints. This would mean that alien lifeforms at the micro level (if they exist) will likely be similar.
or
2. ALL Terran life came from a single source. This does not seem to be logical as worldwide distribution from a single sulfur hot spring (or whatever) would not seem to be possible.
or
3. The earth was 'seeded' by a comet with one basic life form (or predecessor) on it - and that is why all Terran life is related. The earth-comet collision could have spread the primitive life in the atmosphere thsu dispersing over much of the planet. Of course, this scenario opens a whole 'nother slew of questions.
Discuss. Or not.

Im not sure I believe this...

Why not? It seems plausible to me that life which formed in one area could eventually spread all over. Especially considering the time frames.
(edit- this seems like a scientific question. is this philosophy or spirituality?)

He is (possibly) waiting for someone to jump in with the 4th option....

No, then you will pollute the science forum!!

Now, then, who will make the spiritual but rational jump over the gap to the 4th solution ? I could offer a fifth solution: We were brought and implanted here, DNA-like ways, intentionally, by some none super-realistic entities, like extraterrestrians, or we could have fled from another part of the universe and degenerated before we started our commonly know 'history'. There's so much inbetween...
