Quick Casing Question

So for some reason or another I decided it would be a good idea to give the colonized Rye a quick H2O spray with the spray bottle (About 1-2% h2O2) before covering it with my casing layer. Upon further consideration after the fact, I'm guessing this isn't really advisable? Is this the case or does it not matter either way?
Also, I'm incubating my casings now, waiting for the myc to poke through and I checked after three days and they look to have stalled and have made zero progress upon close inspection. I did drop the temps from 84 to 73-75 degrees. I used to just leave them at 84 but I've been reading its not necessary to incubate your casings at this temp. Ive decided to raise the temp back up to 84 to give the myc a little kick start. I'm having to re-learn all this casing non-sense, I forgot how touchy it all can be.
Thanks everyone

As has been said again and again, ONLY USE H2O2 TO ELIMINATE COBWEB MOLD. Peroxide works great as a solution to this mold but only serves to weaken mycelia if used as a "preventative" measure.
Also, I think 84 is a bit too high and might favour contams.
Apart from that you seem to be doing a good job so hopefully in a couple of days you should be getting more results.
Good luck

I think I will eliminate the H2O2 then. I've always been unsure about whether to use it or not...

This should really be posted, permanently, above the "new post" section.
