Reincarnation

To believe in reincarnation one can find peace, it's another way to fill the void of thought that occurs after you die. It comforts people to know that when we die we won't be alone, like everyone else we either go to rest permanetly or we go back and have another journey.
Some say we can become animals, insects, etc.
Maybe there is a pattern behind it, once entering this body one begins to fill his mind with what is known.. It's like a path we all go on in our livels that shows us that maybe this is not the end.
Peace, Droz

Sugar and alcohol also comfort people. Any thing in a pinch right?

What is the size and shape of the reincarnated being?
Exactly.
Rebirth is more likely. It occurs continuously, moment-to-moment, not lifetime-to-lifetime. Physical form changes constantly, though imperceptibly. Emotional states change constantly, thoughts occur continually. Memories are lost often. In what 'Real' sense (Real meaning enduring) is there an identity which survives from moment-to-moment let alone from lifetime-to-lifetime?

It won't. The sun is not big enough to become a black hole. It is expected to expand into a Red Giant before tapering off and becoming a White Dwarf. Of course, in the Red Giant phase, it will probably gobble up the inner planets, including Earth, but not the entire solar system.

Luckily by then humans will have already colonized Uranus.

My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

Fine, but Earth will [likely] be gobbled up and that is the place where our raw materials currently exist and wherefrom our conscious forms have evolved. What then when those raw materials and conscious life systems can't operate any longer assuming nothing wipes out life on Earth before that? What of reincarnation then?
This is what I was meaning to ask.

Nope. I'd rather have a box of granola than a case of Granuloma.
But then, I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

anything is possible
I like to keep my mind open to every possible idea. I usually don't think about it much because...my time will come, the moment of truth will come eventually.
-------------------- "If we could sniff or swallow something that would, for five or six hours each day, abolish our solitude as individuals, atone us with our fellows in a glowing exaltation of affection and make life in all its aspects seem not only worth living, but divinely beautiful and significant, and if this heavenly, world-transfiguring drug were of such a kind that we could wake up next morning with a clear head and an undamaged constitution - then, it seems to me, all our problems (and not merely the one small problem of discovering a novel pleasure) would be wholly solved and earth would become paradise." - Aldous Huxley GIVE ME OPIATES OR GIVE ME DEATH

Precisely. Reality makes itself evident. The more we define for ourselves the nature of reality, the more reality will disappoint our expectations and demands of what it is. The more personal energy we invest into observation, instead of definition, the more capable we are of living in accordance with reality, the more likelihood reality will carry us along, allowing us to perpetuate and evolve and live and know.
