it's made in many fish and chip shops in scotland...i read that locals sprinkle malt vinegar on top before consuming...blech!
must admit it tasted rather nice...the melted nougat and caramel accompanied the crispy batter quite well. as my friend said after eating it "it feels as if i've just sinned.." how correct he is!
deep fried mars bars just goes to show that deep frying everything makes it taste better...my bestfriend said the best deep fried food he's tried was again in scotland...a deep fried apple and peanut butter sandwich!

they even deep frie coca cola, saw it at the state fair last weekend. i dont eat carnie grub but was still pretty amazed that people are frying beverages.

Oh my god that's debaucherous.. and yes, I've tried it, once, and only once I think it'll be!
Though I didn't cook it myself, I indulged at the LA County Fair - where's it's packed with Saturated Fun (tm)! 
Tried their deep fried Oreos too, and my ol' boss that I used to work for at the Rose Bowl has a stand there, got a plate o' fried goodness for me and m'lady... she hooked us up with fried potatoes, fried zucchini, fried squid, fried whitefish... jesus, everything was fried!
Kinda makes me sick just thinkin' about it!

a few summers ago i worked at a summer camp
wed go into town on weekend and spend parts of our paycheck
once we bought a mini deep frier for around 20 bucks
we batter and fried mars bars, pepperette sticks and sour keys, yum

that a chocolate bar? i tried a snickers fried ones, never again. it was nice on the tongue i think, but made me want to hurl once it was sitting in my gut

for a second there boO I thought you were deep frying a stick of butter.
LOL the best things I've deep fried so far are almond snickers, kit kats, and 5th avenue. I've heard twinkies are really good deepfried. Mars' bar's look just as delicious. Its something about the caramel and the nougut goodness that gets all melted and delicious likle.
