Question about powdered malt extract

Is dry malt extract the same thing as powedered malt extract?? As in the kind used as an ingredient in liquid mycelium solutions?? I'm looking out at homebrew supply sites and keep finding light dry malt extract. Thanks!!!

No! It needs to be mixed with agar to cause it to gel.

What you want is Malt Extract Agar.

True I didn't think of that, just assumed petri dish because tha't's all I have done with MEA.
