Bridgelisa, thanks!
Alexander, I never said you were wrong, I was trying to understand how the "professional book" part applied to your "opinion", as well as assure that there are well educated indentifiers in this forum. Welcome to Shroomery, I'm sure you'll see what I'm saying soon enough.

There is a reason certain people are moderators of this forum and cyans are one of the most common mushrooms featured in here. Its ok to be wrong sometimes.

Don't cyan patches reappear annually for a while? The good news is, that all of the spores were allowed to introduce themselves to the air, and you should get getting more. (or so they say)

i like my avatar... what do you find freaky about it?
Your avatar isn't so "unfreaky" either...
the slug in your signature makes up for it though. I love that thing.

ok well, take your finger, and put it over parts of my avatar until it stops freaking you out (if that occurs). Then tell me which part you covered up, and we will be at the bottom of it.
I kinda see what you mean though. After i stare at it long enough it sets in.

You're right, it's just an opinion but it's pretty obvious that these are Ps. Cyanescens! And BTW: Cyan caps aren't "yellow" in the middle and brown on the outside. They can be, but only if the turn dry. Cyans caps of specimens that grow in area were the moisture content is correct, are completely caramel coloured (nothing yellow at all). Additional there's actually nothing blue on he stems as well, as long as the moisture content is correct. Normally the stems are perfectly white and only bruise blue when touched, too wet, or too dry.
This is what they look like, when the moisture content is right:

And this is what they look like when they it's too dry:

How do those not look like cyans????!!!!
