Question regarding fruiting conditions.

I've managed to get pretty far along just by reading teks and posts on this site.
This is my first attempt. I inoculated 24 jars around October 1st and most are now fully colonized. I lost 3 to what I believed to be contamination. I'm ready to birth them, but have a question regarding fruiting temps.
I incubated around 90F (too hot, I know) for a couple weeks. My cakes were not showing much growth, so I took the temperature down to 84 and as I said, most are now fully colonized.
With NO extra source of heat, I can achieve a constant 67-70F and 94-97% RH in a Poor Man's Pod. I would rather not add an external source of heat (like a submersible fish tank heater).
Do you think I'll have trouble fruiting if I leave the PMP as is? Will my cakes still fruit with a variable temperature range of around 65-70F, or should I consider an outside source of heat?

They will still fruit it may just take longer, i have succesfully fruited in temps arying from 68-72 in a shotgun FC. You can try sticking them near a heater to raise the temperature a few degrees. This is what i have had to do as its coming up for winter and getting pretty cold.
My room temperature has just dropped to 65 F , next to the heater it gets it to about 71.

Well, the only problem with that is I have central heat. I have the setup in a closet so it's not out in the open, so putting the whole thing next to the vent isn't really an option.
I keep the closet door open and the PMP seems to stay around 5 degrees cooler than the house itself.
Do you think I would be better off putting a fishtank heater beneath the lava rock and setting it around 70?
