Thoughts on "H202 usage causes contams" Hypothesis

So I got around to thinking the other day, it seems like when i've used h202 in the past its caused me more problems than good. I used to use a little H202 in everything from dunking water to my daily mistings. A good while ago i quit using h202 and have had significantly less contam issues. Anyway... so here's my hypothesis...
I've started to think that its not good to use h202 all the time. I've come to this conclusion because after I stopped using h202 I noticed a big decrease in my trich/misc contams problems. Im thinking that what might have been happening is that the h202 was killing alot of the good bacteria in my casings. It seems that this good bacteria was competing with contams and giveing them a harder time trying to occupy the substrate, but when the h202 killed the good bacteria it didn't kill the contams, therefore it allowed the contams to thrive and spread more easily.
Anyone ever had any experiences like this? Comments?

Peroxide, as I've been saying this for years, should be used for an active cobweb attack, but little else. You're right. If you dunk in peroxide, it damages the mycelium, leaving it weak and open for attack. Ditto if you mist with peroxide water. Mushroom mycelium always needs a few days to recover from shock, but the much faster growing molds do not, thus they get a foothold. RR

Well this would have been helpful info to have found before i did all my misting with h2o2 water mix. (Before you respond, realize that I'm somewhat joking since my sterile procedures, inexperience, and shoddy pasteurization probably had more to do with my failure than did the h2o2) But nevertheless, this is good info that I will use on attempt number 2!

I use boiled water for hydration. I let the water cool a little and fill up containers. This is after I realized h202 was mostly useless.

this is the precise reason it's never used in my industry (Body piercing).
In layman's terms: it kills the good stuff with the bad stuff, but the bad stuff comes back way quicker than the good stuff, leaving a good chance of things going to hell rather quick.
