How much FAE does a LC need?

I am getting an LC started with a pint-quart sized mason jar (not sure yet) It will have s synthetic filter disc on top and a magnetic stirrer will be used to mix contents...
I am wondering how big a hole I need to drill in the lid for FAE I would like to drill a 7/64 inch hole on the lid because its just big enough for my 6 inch needle to squeeze in and suck up LC
But a 7/64 inch hole is pretty small and may not be big enough for FAE.
Any suggestions on whats the smallest size hole I should use on my lid for FAE on my LC?
thanks in advance

its going to be on a magnetic stirrer with a stir bar in the jar so hopefully I will not have to shake it/swirl it regularly

Make provisions for gas exchange, such as you'd use for a colonizing jar. A small hole with a filter is ideal. RR

Would gas exchange only speed up the process? I'm using baby bottles with silicone so there's no way for me to make a hole.

like I said it can be done without a hole and it still took a week or two for me to get enough myc to knock up 2 bags with 30 CC each and they are doing fine.

RR already made note that you were looking for gas exchange not fresh air exchange, but I would just like to clarify for anyone who may not already understand the difference.
Fresh Air Exchange (FAE) - Old, spent air is replaced with new air. FAE is only necessary during the fruiting stage and serves to provide fresh oxygen to the mycelium. It is unwanted at all other points of the growth process.
Gas Exchange - Excess gases produced by the mycelium during colonization of a medium are released from the jar. This is somewhat similar to the way that excess steam is released when using your pressure cooker. No new air is entering the jar, therefore there is no air exchange.

That doesn't make sense to me...gases exiting the jar would create a low pressure zone inside, thus sucking in more air, right?

correct. gas exchange is just at a much lower scale than FAE....
