Featured Classic Rock Album: Steve Miller Band, *Fly Like an Eagle* (1976)...Steve Miller was a peculiar entity to the 1970s, like Steely Dan, the Eagles, and Pink Floyd, creating a sound of those times...Miller's music was funny, trippy, slyly sarcastic, fun but not dumb...this album came out during his best years, when nearly every song of his floated way up there...
Storybook Time: Chapter Two of *Breaking Open the Head: A Psychedelic Journey into the Heart of Contemporary Shamanism * by Daniel Pinchbeck...
Readings from *Why?* fixtion & *Many Musics* poems...& this week's featured artist is...the soundtrack to the Rolling Stones' "Rock and Roll Circus" extravaganza, also the featuring the likes of The Who, John Lennon, Jethro Tull, and Eric Clapton...KD and I saw the movie of this event one night in the desert at Burning Man 2007...this will be the first broadcast of this show from Oregon, where it rains, people chill, the grass grows really h-i-g-h, and smiles on a cloudy day abound...
