No. 6,500 Kelvin. It will be fluorescent. Just go to a hardware store or mega-mart. A fish store will be more expensive. RR

get those new energy saver bulbs. they say 6500k on them. they'll say something like "ultra blue" or something blue. you cant miss them.
its not absolutely necessary, indirect sunlight works just fine, although sometimes my guys grow at a slant due to the way the light hits them. ah well. nice bulbs. really bring out colors too!

indirect is fine. as long as they know which way is up, you're good to go.
you shouldnt hide stuff like this from roommates. its not worth being kicked out for something they coulda been cool with.. with a little bit of persuasion.. unless they are total squares. heh

If u have to hide your grow, then a fluerescent tube in the range between 6 and 7000k is ideal, if it gives of a cold blue tint then its in the right range. For a small setup a cpl bulb should be fine, just hang it above your FC so the light shines in.
Shrooms really do grow towards light, i had light coming in from the side and all my shrooms grew verticaly, i moved it above after some shrooms started touching the perlite, next day they all grew upward.
With sunlight u dont want it direct as it could heat everything up too much, but with a fluerescent bulb i dont think this is of much concern, they dont heat things up that much.
This is my setup at the moment

Energy saving bulb which i think i bought for a few quid, shining throw my window in the FC.

I have an old fish tank light and it is a "full spectrum" light. I am not good with types of lights but it is long and says "full spectrum". Can anyone help and tell me if this is a good light to use.
