Tripping in the past

Im not sure if this is a double post but just an idea i recently had. I know that mushrooms and other active psychedelics have been around for long than humans and I was just thinking about all the different trips people have had. I mean a lot of a trip to me is all subjective to what is going on in that point of my life. Crazy I mean to think about using these drugs when there was no electricity or no running water. I guess my main point on this matter is that I think compared to previous trips on this planet by mankind have not nearly been as "complex" as ours are today.
I think that sometimes a trip is something that helps you along the path you were already on and possibly even putting you on a better path. And this is why are trips are so complex today. You see they are bettering our society as a whole anytime one of us takes these substances with our prior knowledge and experience that they "the mushrooms and other substances" have already helped us learn. Not sure if this is coming out the right way but many people have learned so much and lived through so much because of this chemical(s). I love life, and i love learning......so to all the friends in here happy learning and living!

I think trips a long time ago where probably pretty intense and complicated just like they are now. What I want to know is what was it like for the first person to ever eat shrooms. He was probably some lost starving mayan or something. Imagine: you're lost, starving, and you find some mushrooms. You eat a WHOLE bunch of em cause you're really hungry...and then something crazy happens. How disorienting would THAT be.
