McCain got it wrong, the pharmaceutical industry had nothing to do with Woodstock.
&
Ron Paul has scored hundreds of political lines this year alone better than any other candidate.

Oh, come on. It was obviously a joke referring to the drug culture of the sixties. A way of saying it without saying it. Also a clever way to get a dig in at Hillary's backing by health care corporations. I thought it was a brilliantly crafted line that had several layers to it and got the crowd on its feet.
Sometimes it helps to step out of partisanship for a moment and take your hat off to a good line regardless of the source.

Agreed. I'm suprised that Mccain's not higher in the polls. Other than being staunchly for the war. He's the only other Republican candidate with any common sense. He's pro war, sure... but he's the only candidate that doesn't start attacking anti-war people and calling them unpatriotic idiots and actually encourages them to voice their opinion.
Maybe THAT's why he's on bottom. The more truth you speak, the crappier you rank amongst the republicans... case and point: McCain and Paul.

I like McCain...I just wish he didn't bow to Bush for the past two terms.
I feel like he's compromised his principles.

I feel the same way. He wants the job too badly. When he ran in 2000 I supported him. He was a much more attractive candidate then than Chickenhawk Bush and "Five Deferment Dick" (Cheney) as he is known in the military.
He put his life on the line when it counted. The man is a legitimate hero. I also think he would have asked the country to sacrifice after 9/11 unlike Bush who asked the public to "go shopping".
It seems he figured the way to win was to court the establishment and hug the religous right. Who he has been running as is a complete inversion of who he really is.
In the past McCain would tell the religious right where to stick it and ran as a reformer. When Bush's dirty tricks crew finished their smear campaign on him in South Carolina he was done.
The man is a natural outsider. Always has been. Now that the press has been counting him out, guess what? He is an underdog again! He thrives on that. Look for him to make something of a comeback against soft competition. Whether he can go all the way is uncertain but no one should count the man out.
Anyway, I doubt I'll support him again but the country could do worse than McCain if he is elected. That video reminded me why I liked him in the first place.

This debate audience was seemingly stacked , not suprisingly
http://rattube.com/blog1/2007/10/21/fox-stacks-debate-audience-with-christian-zionists-war-mongers/
I don't see any reason to honor people just because they fought in a war, especially vietnam. There's a good reason people back in the sixties were refusing the draft.
