not only is the amount/effects differ from person to person but the amount of alkaloids in the fungus itself will very from person to person, and along with those somewhat psychedelic alkaloids ther is also some disturbing toxins aswell. Be carefull start small and work your way too bigger doses. If you start swetting or cramping up stop immediatly.

how should I eat them? SHould I air dry them? Can I put them in tea? Should I smoke them? What is the most common way to tell that it is the rue fly agaric? I hear the rings at the base are what give it away and I am pretty sure mine have those.

if you cook amanita muscaria it converts the ibotenic acid into muscimol, which means a much more desirable (and better for your liver) trip.
20 mins on gas mark 3. Baste it regularly to stop the goodness escaping

Are you talking about boiling it in water or just frying it? And how much should I eat in grams for just a small trip?

i was talking about baking it. You can also fry it in oil, but i have no experience or info about time/heat etc.
Well erowid recommends 12g dry for intense, so i'd go for about 2 medium sized caps, cooked. I wouldn't try it raw.

Anybody who knows I need help immediately. I am currently cooking some A. Muscaria and I need to know should I wait for them to be cracker dry? I keep basting them and it has been like a half an hour and they are still pretty wet. HELP ME!

basting???
What the hell are you basting them with? And why??
If you were trying to dry them, basting will certainly not help. However, if you intend to eat them soon, then make sure they are fully cooked before consuming- no need to fully dry them.

I was told to baste them (which means when they are cooking, take the fluids that come out and put them back on the mushroom to keep the good stuff) I am doing it with a turkey baster. I was also told to wait until they are cracker dry in the oven.

basting them with their own juices is apparently the way to go... and yes u should keep them in the oven until they are totally dry.

I prefer to dry them at a low heat, so that the outside dries first, holding in the moisture, and dries through slowly. That way you don't have to worry about losing any of the actives.

of course u can air dry them, my advice was based on the knowledge that the original posted wanted to oven dry them...
personally i like to hang them on the back of a dehumidifier to dry...
