Most useful part of Erowid, in my opinion

The Experience Reports. That's how I found out about Erowid (a mushroom report came up in a Google search). Reading experience reports showed me the true nature of these substances I'd been curious about since a young age. Anti-drug propaganda portrays psychedelics as though a good portion of the time, you just see scary stuff. Reading actual reports of people who used these substances taught me that that wasn't the case, and fully convinced me that I needed to try them.

So much damage was and is being done to psychedelics by government propaganda. Thats why I love these sites, as they are trying to right the wrongs.

Yeah, they're completely damaged. Everyone thinks they're the most brain-damaging substances of all. No one realizes how fascinating they actually are.

Agreed. I spend my work day surfing erowid and reading Salvia reports. A substance I could not bear to never experience. Several drug experiences later, Psychonaut. THANKS EROWID

I totally disagree. It's one of the nicest looking sites I've ever seen; matching colors. Show me some examples of nice looking sites.

The site is ugly... (JunkFood, get a new perspective) but it is super functional.. so much information is all packed in to a standardizes format. You ALWAYS know where to go because the sete is designed to be user friendly..
As far as the look goes, it IS very earthy and ethogenical looking.. just needs a new CSS and some smoother looking text and table frames..

As everyone else said, erowid is probably the best, most informative drug site on the internet. I only worry that the DEA and govt will one day put an end to these kind of sites. I mean, they seem to be frequenting the shroomery quite a bit already....
As for the aesthetics, I personally like the way it is laid out. The colors and designs, everything about intense feelings for me. (Probably because whenever I'm on a substance or thinking heavily about one, I tend to be on that site.)

This is exactly what I was thinking, but didn't know the words to describe it. I also get a sense of mysteriousness and a feeling of how deep and complex the world of psychoactives really is.

Not everyone likes that fuzzy, modern-computer-looking text. I like the site the way it is.

Oh, well I don't KNOW that for sure, but it just seems like people are getting really careful about what they post. (The whole a "friend of a friend" or "someone who isnt me", and the whole rteluctancy to post any pictures)
On bluelight it seems even worse though, there's absolutely no talk of ANYTHING illegal or they delete your post.
I don't know... it just seems like they are monitoring these drug sites (just a hunch, and I would be very surprised if they didn't) Nothing more than a hunch though.
Anyone know about how much monitoring and such is actually going on???

I would liek to know what shroomery's policy is for law-enforcement cooperation.

Their archive of professional, peer-reviewed publications is quite impressive. Most scientific journals do not have electronic copies of papers before the early/mid 90's.
Erowid has a ton of archived, scientific papers.
