provided you have access to a trader joes, i would suggest kenwood cabernet (13.99), castoro cellars cabernet (11.99 i think).. there are some other great cheaper wines there, but these two are by far my favorites. i could drink kenwood all day..

of course, if you;re going for really cheap.. get some 2 buck chuck (charles shaw, 1.99 ea). it's drinkable for the price.

Red Truck at about $8 a bottle is sweet. The '05 Wolf Blass Cab/Shiraz blend for $13 or so grabbed an 88 rating (doesn't mean a lot though, but it is good) Milton Park Shiraz & Columbia Crest Shiraz (get the '03 or '04 over the '05 if you can) are both nice for under ten bucks.

Where are you at in the country. And are you doing this for vascularity issues for lifting, digestion, getting a chick drunk?????

not that you HAVE to get wine there.. it's just a good cheap place to do so. you could probably round up everything mentioned at your local alcohol superstore.

It's not super potent, so the gallon goes pretty quick.  Pretty good stuff considering the price, though I can't remember what the price is right now :rofl2:

What is your definition of cheap? A few that are drinkable and fairly cheap are Lazo, Beringer, and Kendall Jackson.

Franzia = 5L for $10.  I'm no wine connoisseur, but it's definitely drinkable.

I recommend just going to a local small liquor store (not MGM or any of the big ones) and ask them. I did that last week with the same question and walked out with Jacob's Creek Shiraz Vintage 2004 for $10 and Beringer Founders Estate 2004 California Merlot for $7. Now obviously I don't know shit about wine but I thought they were good tasting.
