Your pictures did look to have a black contamination on the back. I was going to suggest cutting it off but you said you mixed them throughout

I disagree with the other poster's comments, that endo or exotoxins of the contamination would be likely carried into the fruit bodies

Some contaminations myc can eat through, never had a run in with that black stuff
