hello guys:-) in 10 days i am gonna visit amsterdam:-) i really want to buy a digital pocket scale and i dopnt know what to do in the airport:-( they will find it right? is there a way to hide it? cuz theyll kick my ass if they find a scale in my bag:-P
any suggestions? thanks
(are in amsterdam any very very cheap hotels that i will find rooms if i'll go there without booking first?)

its not illegal to "smuggle" scales..... you could walk around the airport flashing it around telling people that you're gonna use it to weigh drugs and all they would say is "that has to fit all the way inside the overhead compartment"

sorry the word "weird" was going tot he other guy.
yeah u r right man but here in greece the scales are veeery illegal except if u have a paper that sais that u sell jewelries or sth. if u r just a poor guy they'll kick your ass!!!
isnt there a way to get one for my home? arent there any plastic ones so the machine at the airport which sees the metal wont see it?

No problems with having a scale. just clean it and don't way coke with it because coke is harder to completely clean off.

Scales are not necessarily drug paraphernalia. Just wash all of the crack dust off and put it in your suitcase.

the problem guys is that the scales are ILLEGAL in greece if you dont have a licence! for example if i was a chemist and a cop found a scale in my bags i would give him my licence and then he should get the fuck away. but i dont have a licence or something and this means 4 years prison if u get caught!!!
so i cant bring a scale back?

Ok that I didn't know. I assumed you were from the states for some reason. Well, you can risk it if you feel like it. If you find a good hiding spot you should be okay but personally I'd get too nervous and edgy waiting to go through customs. You might try the old sealed manilla envelope with a fake address, but they may be suspicious post 9-11. Here's one thing you could do: buy a diary when you are there, but make sure you get the kind with a lock on it. Carve out as many pages as you need and put the scale in. Say you lost the key if anyone asks.
Still though I would never want to smuggle contraband into a country. You probably won't get caught, but probably is no reassurance. Can't you order a scale online or something?
