when do I know my casing is ready to be put in the terrarium?

its been 3 days my casing has been colonizing and there are like 2 or 3 white places on both casings poking through only like a dime size though. Is it time to put it in the terrarium?

It has been 3 days since you spawned to bulk or since you cased a fully colonized substrate?

I'm pretty sure he means what he says, his casing(layer) has been colonizing for 3 days.
I would patch the spots and put it in the FC.

This confusion is the exact reason I've been trying to get people to stop incorrectly using the word casings to refer to their projects. Is it so hard to say, "My fully-colonized manure substrate that was cased with peat/verm three days ago. . . ." RR

Yes, RR, for many people that is too much. These are the days of U, 2, 4, UR, WTF, etc. being used as words, if not sentences, in written communications. I do not think attempting to type words properly is TOO difficult or consuming of time, but what do I know? I only worked greatly for many yearsto learn English, not to use abbreviations for everything!
But in this context, I would guess he is using a simple tek, casing cakes or grain directly, not spawning to bulk, and the casing layer is beginning to be colonized. Right? Time to put it in the terrarium, pmsskg! If he would be successfully working to bulk manure, he would probably know such answers already.

you fools are going off on a tangent. If you could slow down instead of trying to be heroes you could read it correctly. I don't know but what you guys have taught me was Colonization then you have Fruiting. So let your mind flow now

Yes Spock1, I think you can do that. But I think the idea is to let the myc establish itself again after being broken and spread apart, more than to let it colonize the casing layer.
As for abbreviations, etc., I just meant that I've had to work hard to understand English and communicate with that language, and I just wish people would take five seconds extra to be clear when typing is so easy anyway. No big problem here, and not exclusive to Shroomery.:)
