Budder - Is the recipe/technique still secret?

Da Kine was the only place you could get Budder, and Budderman never told anyone how it was made. Da Kine was closed down in 2005 AFAIK, but is the technique still secret? People say it's just whipped hash oil, but there's nothing concrete.

Its secret is using extremely high-quality weed and then doing a butane extraction.

No, it's not. What you described is called BHO (butane honey oil). While very potent, BHO is nowhere close to the 90-98% THC content of budder. A couple hits of BHO will get you a nice buzz, a couple hits of budder will absolutely FLOOR you.
As for the secret, as far as I know, yes, it is still a secret. I would imagine some of the chemists on here or perhaps at bluelight might be able to come up with a similar procedure, but that's really outside of my knowledge. I remember hearing someone tell me the budder process involved freezing hash oil and spinning it in a centrifuge or something, but it could have been complete BS.

Apparently Budder is made by whipping in air/freezing isomerizied high quality hash oil. Could be hearsay, could be very close to the truth. Here are links to ze method and additional info on the isomerization step. http://www.ukcultivator.biz/showthread.php?t=10801&page=2 http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=29254&page=1&pp=15&highlight=budd+er
