Broken Salvia !

I just received my salvia cutting in the mail and found that it had been broken in half in transit. If theres any way i can save it? the bottom portion consists of the stem with a few small leaves, the upper portion is pretty much all the foliage. I potted the lower stem and have it warm in a humidity dome, the upper foliage i have yet to do anything with. Any advice would be awesome.:)

stick the top piece in a glass of water to root, in a humidity chamber also... infact if the lower part is unrooted u would probably be best to root that in water too, but rooting in soil is ok... if its not too fucked u will have 2 plants before long

Thanks for the advice. I placed the upper portion in a glass with humidity chamber and left the lower part potted(it has roots) the lower part seems to have some brown on it so maybe its fucked I don't know if a little brown is fatal? Anyway fingers crossed that one of them will survive.

It could still survive with the brown. It may turn out to be a blessing in disguise if you get two plants out of it. Good luck!

same thing happened to me, except mine had no leaves left. right when i was going to give up on it because it was turning black, BAM, it started from ground up right next to it. I never would have guessed that. Glad i hung in their for 1 extra day.
you can see the original piece right behind it completely black. The new growth is perfectly healthy though.
