The STP appreciation thread

Damn I miss STP. Anyone else?

I saw Velvet Revolver this summer, but it just wasn't the same.

BTW Scott Weiland was skinny as a twig. It looked like he would have snapped in half if the wind blew too hard.

Never got into STP. Core is their best album.
But Velvet Revolver is definitely better.

I dunno about that. I like velvet revolver but all their stuff sounds the same. STP was kinda original for me.

I actually haven't heard libertad yet... I'll give it a listen.

For STP: I preferred Tiny Music, with Purple a close second

I got this mp3 of them doing a live accoustic version of "Pour some sugar on me". It sounds like there are TWO people doing vocals. Anyone have a video of this?

stp is fucking awesome.

they are the only band who i love every single on of their albums.

what's funny is for some reason, i never name them off as my favorite band. you would think if you loved every single one of their albums so much, they would be it. for some reason, they seem to escape me.

shangri-la dee da is my favorate. then, core, #4, purple and then tiny songs. fucking LOVE those guys. unbelievable.

and big bang baby is one of the funniest and shittiest music videos of all time. that shit was done on NO BUDGET! lol! damn i fuckin love it!

what's funny is the video actually looks BETTER on youtube! that is a fucking riot!

Ehhh I dunno about that. They started getting "Metallica Syndrome" (aka starting to go from godliness to suckiness) after number 4

Thanks for posting that video btw. I haven't seen it in forever. It's that kinda style that makes TINY MUSIC my fav album by them.

I have a feeling that Scott Weiland probably did a shitload of acid before he got into heroin

When I first saw the videos coming from the Core album I totally jumped on the "Pffft... Pearlm Jam wannabes" bandwagon.. but those first two singles were really the only PJ-like songs.

Here's what's really weird. Check out their first TV performance ever on Letterman:

LOOK at how HUGE scott weiland is. Now look at him. He's skin and bones. At least he can still sing.

I love STP.  Purple is definitely my favorite.
