I shot a Gold Cup 1911 the other day... I'm not sure if that's the brand or not, but it was worth $2,000 apparently, and it shot VERY well.

1911's rock the house.

Those IMI Desert Eagles are such a crappy novelty gun. They're completely worthless for anything most people want a handgun for, super picky about ammunition and need to be cleaned constantly to maintain reliability.

It's basically just to show off how big your dick is.

Now the Jericho 941 (Baby Eagle) is a different story. They are actually very well built and reliable as hell compared to the Desert Eagle.

If I want a powerful handgun, I'll just have my fun with a S&W .500 .

Yea he does a lot of hunting and said that's what he got it for. Not sure how a hand gun would be better than a rifle but whatever. What makes them unreliable is it the gas system it utilizes?

I was wondering if those baby eagles were any good.

Ps. That s&w .500 is fucking bad ass.

Wait, he bought a .50AE Desert Eagle for hunting? Is he fucking brain damaged?

I seriously doubt that's even legal in most states and the Desert Eagle is a piss poor gun for anything besides being big and flashy. It's a novelty.

A .22 would be a very bad choice for self defense. For target practice and plinking it would be great, but the .22 caliber rounds were NEVER meant for defense. Hell, I wouldn't even use one for anything bigger than a squirrel or large rabbit.

My old lever action .45/70 had quite a kick, I can't imagine what kind of kick a revolver with that round would produce.

My uncle has an 1873 Springfield chambered in .45-70. We went out shooting with it a few years back and after about 20 handload 400grain rounds, I had a huge bruise on my shoulder like someone hit me repeatedly with a baseball.

I've fired a snub nose 4 inch survival S&W 500 one time and it was pretty rediculous. The damn thing almost jumped out of my hands.
