Need some opinons

I have a problem! When I started to gather supplies for this grow I originally was going to use WBS so I got 2 cases of pint jars, since then I found a great deal on Rye Berries so I now have my berries soaking and I have a case of quart jars.
I also have 3 Alacabenzi, 3 Blue Meanie, and 3 Hawaiian syringes. I only want to use 3 of the 6 if possible.
Should I use the pints or quarts? How many cc's per jar? I've heard 1-3

For grains use the larger jars so Qt's and 2cc's is sufficant
remember that blue meanie is a cubensis on its own... it prefers 62f over 72f

Yea, I agree with Pro X. Grain should go into Quart jars, (even WBS). I am so hooked on WBS, that I look at the pint jars now, and think, (what the hell was I thinking!). I look at all my 1/2 pint jars and tearfully remember the days of BRF and Verm cakes. My only use for them now is for print making.

That all depends on how much inoculant you use. The reason I prefer Quart jars is because of the yield potential. Once you have about 20% colonization, shake the shit out of it and watch the magic happen! I say no longer than 2 weeks at the right temperature. I inoculate 2 quart jars only. When they are fully colonized, I do a G2G transfer to about 24 Quart jars.....A week and a half later I have 24 beautiful fully colonized Quart jars to spawn to bulk. (my mouth waters just thinking about it LOL!)

Correction, Blue meanie prefer colder tempature, the mycelium preforms very poorly when incubated any higher then 72f and easily succumbs to thermo-death, I know from experience.

My incubator is set at 82f, should I put the Blue Meanies in a cooler incubator?

LOL! I never gave a specific temperature! The "right" temperature is strain specific.

What about my grain? I'm really starting to freak. I would say 60%+ is sprouted, you cant really see the sprouts they are very small.

How did that happen? How long did you soak them? How long after soaking has it been? Have you sterilized the grains in jars yet? If they are barely sprouting, then I would begin the sterilizing process A.S.A.P.! If not, start again.

if you sterilize them right now you should be fine. sprouting happens sometimes, and if you get it right in the beginning it's okay. but if they get like 1/4 inch long or so, I'd toss them out.

well then you need to get them out of the tub or bowl or whatever they are in.
they're creating their own heat and it's not helping you. you need to cool them down asap and spread them out if you can. otherwise you could lose this batch.

Well... putting it in the fridge might slow down growth, but don't quote me on that. Might as well if you wanna use that grain. You haven't PCed it yet? You can keep PCed grain for quite a while before inoculating it. I've kept it on my kitchen counter for 5-6 days. If I were you and had more WBS or whatever your using I might just start soaking some more and PC it all tomorrow. Thats just me though.
