Liquid Culture Question

So can I just sterilize a 1/2 pint jar filled with a karo solution and drop a piece of my PF cake into the liquid culture? My entire 10 cc cambodian syringe fell out onto my counter all at once, but I managed to suck up the spores I could see and inoculate one cake, the cake doesn't seem to be contaminated, yet. I figure if I do this to a couple of jars then at least one of them hopefully won't be contaminated so I can grow some cambodians.

WoW! You must have one clean living space if your syringe didn't contam...
If it's clean growth you can wait out the colonization and cutt off a small peice of it and place it in a LC, all transfers must be done in a glove box though...
I cant believe your syringe was ok after that

If the jar turns out OK I'd make a spore print and start over. You can also clone one of the fruits by adding a chunk of tissue from a great fruit to a LC with better chances of no contamination.

I know and I inoculated 4 other jars with a clean syringe and they all have green mold growing, haha this is the only one that doesn't have contams yet! I'll look into a glove box I hope it's simple to build.

its a funny game this aint it.
I had the same thing happen with a liquid culture that should have been way contamintated, an my jar of to test the LC grew where as 3/4 spore incos contammed.
Make yourself a glovebox and it should help reduce contamination
