Anyone go this past year? Or plan on going in '08? I plan on going, trippin' out and watchin' some bad ass performances... How about you guys?
Just a conversation starter...

bonnaroo has always seemed like bullshit and a waste of money. Much better places with less security for less $

a) this should be in the pub.
b) ive been the past few years. its a great time. tons of bands to see. tripping and whatnot is just secondary to all the other awesome stuff they have there.
also, i dont think its a waste of money, true its more expensive than other fests. and i know what your saying, ive been to some smaller fests than b-roo that are out of control (in a good way). bonnaroo is cool because they have much bigger acts. and alot more acts. which can be a hassle, there always seems to be like 3-4 bands i wanna see playing at once on diff stages.

I've never gone before but im definately gonna be there for 08'.
Yea it is on the expensive side, which is why im gonna work the show. If you volunteer to work a couple hours everyday, you get in for free. Not a bad deal in my book, i dont mind the work and im sure i'll meet some cool people.
Also my friends have done it and said they could hear the music the whole time they were working and had the opportunity to step aside for a quick toke frequently.

its more than a couple of hours a day. more like 6-8. when you sign up they make you write down 2 bands you cant miss and try to make sure u dont have to work during those times. but yeah, depending on what you get stuck doing you can hear music the whole time your working.
you still have to buy a ticket too. they reimburse you for your ticket after the weekend is over, that way ppl who volunteer dont just get the free admission and never show up for work.
