Hi i am wondering what people have came up with to hide their operation? I would like to grow a couple different kinds including outdoor inccubation. Can ayone share their secrets or ideas on how to hide that much 5 30 gallon tubs?

I dont think that you need much 'hiding' when using tubs. Just put them in your basement under a shelf or something, it'll just look like storage. If there are any mods. throw a blanket over them. Keep it simple and people wont think a thing of it

Forget about tubs, build a Martha (or 2). 1 or 2 Martha's will take up less space than 5 30 gal tubs and should produce the same if not more. A 36" Martha will fit in an average size closet. If you have a walk closet in you could fit more than one. If the Martha is fruiting at full capacity you can expect 1-2 dry pounds every 45 days or so. I haven't done too much outdoor growing but it's pretty easy to camouflage an outdoor grow. If it gets enough light you could grow under a porch or deck. Depending on how much you grow in one spot you might be able to get away with growing them right out in the open. I don't think a few patches of mushrooms in a flower bed would stand out that much.

Why risk growing bulk where it is illegal? If you are growing bulk, then you are probably planning on selling (or giving away)... which will eventually get the attention of the police and land you in legal trouble/prison.

Harvesting mushrooms regularly from a flowerbed would be suspicious. Keep it in the basement.

I was going to mention that. I'm under the assumption he's talking about legal edibles. But you know what they say about assumptions.

Depends on where you live. If you have a big enough flower bed and your not too close to your neighbors you could get away with a decent size outdoor grow. Since the mushrooms don't grow all that tall you could even find a way to suspend something over top to camouflage them even further. But again I'm talking about legal edibles.

It sucks being in an apt. There are always places to hide things that nobody's looking for, but if one were to fall under fed suspicion, said individual would be screwed.
