What To Do About Pins On Substrate

I have a few 7" trays full of colonizing Coir/WBS. It is about 50% colonized right now.
Yesterday I peeked in and saw several pins growing from the mycelium on top. Is it okay to let these things grow until I case or should I go ahead and pick them?
Thankie!

Pick them when they're ready to be picked. If it's pinning at half colonization, something is wrong anyway. It's best not to case after pins form, so I'd fruit it uncased. RR

Cakes, you might be in the situation I was in... but instead I cased. Now there are a few shrooms totally ready, but 80% are still not near done. I don't know what to do! Take em all?
Good luck with your first flush.

Any idea of what could be wrong?
Here's a quick outline of what I've been doing:
-2 weeks ago spawned WBS to coir at 1/6 ratio mixed well. 6-7" of substrate. -Fanned daily for the first 1.5 weeks, learned that I should not fan any more. Stopped a few days ago. -Containers get a little bit of artificial light a few times a day (They are in a walkin closet where I keep my clothes). -Containers have a few small holes in lid covered with micropore tape. -Temps range from 78-80 -Only a few pins. Maybe 6 total and they seem like they are going to be very wimpy fruits.
Also, why would I not want to case them?

Six to seven inches of substrate is too much, provided the species is cubensis. There is little to be gained by going over three or four inches of substrate.
You shouldn't have fanned at all during colonization. The increased air exchange is the number 1 pinning trigger.
Grain jars can be colonized in light or dark, but bulk substrates should be kept in the dark as much as possible during colonization.
I'm sure the above is why they're pinning now. I'd just expose to fruiting conditions at this point and let them go. Don't expect much, but you'll get some fruits. Next time, follow normal procedures. RR
