Is it ok to soak for 48hours
    #7555224 - 10/24/07 02:36 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

I could PC now but I wouldn't have very much time. It would be alot easier to do it tomorrow morning. Will it fuck with my rye berries to soak for close to 48hrs, they don't look fully hydrated anyway.
there is a faint smell coming out of the soaking pot, but I don't think it's fermenting.

you should be fine.

if you're really worried, just dump the water and put new water in.

Just the guy I wanted to hear from, thanks I just changed the water.
Should I put it in my fridge for the remaining hours?

About 60%+ of the grain is now sprouting, no visible roots yet.
What is the chance of a good fast colonization?

I'm thinking of doing 3 grains jars and 3 lc's with the sprouted grain.

if you sterilize it now, chances are great.
if you let them sprout and grow to any measurable size...
results could suffer.

The sprouts still are very small, there is only a little swelling at the end of the grain, theres no roots showing.
Should I go for it?

I have the spores and grain to spare, + I will be making 3 lc's and 3grain jars so I can do A G2G if it is successful.

What is the success rate for a G2G in a still air glove box?
