im builing a pmp using this tek
http://www.shroomery.org/9047/Poor-Mans-Pod
and it says to put two holes in the top of your chamber for co2 to escape but it doesnt say what size. has anybody used this tek? and what size holes did you use?
also it said to put something over the holes on top so that you can adjust your humidity. is it possible to have to much humidity? i know 100% is to much but is this nessasary?
thanks for helping clarify this for me guys...

holes near the bottom let co2 out because it's heavier than oxygen.

According to tek, holes go in top. Due to the mixing/circulation of air/CO2, CO2 is prevented from sinking. The size of the holes would be dependent on the amount of air you're pumping into PMP. It should be enough so that you can feel the air flowing out of the holes, thusly preventing contams from falling in, But no so large as to prevent maintenance of high humidity levels.
But the size of the hole depends on the size of the pump.

Why not go w/ 1 1/2 in holes. you can put adjusters (Like w/ washers, wingnuts and bolts) over the holes like in the tek and adjust as necessary. If they are too small, make more. Too big, cover em up. thats the idea.

you're right - I have a different set up. My input is at top of chamber.

so its a 58 qrt. tub with a 2800 cc per min. pump (dual outlet, i dont know if its 2800 cc per outlet)
what size of holes have you guys started out with. thedefone i do realize what your trying to say about drilling a hole and metering it with a disk of some sort but what if thats way to small. i just dont want to fuck around later after i got it all set up and then have to drill bigger holes you know. i just want to know what someone else who has tryed this used for a size.
