I recently picked about 80 cyans and let them dry without the fan for a day so i have 2 peices of paper with a bunch of spores on them, could i just cut up the paper into squares and run around dropping them on woodchips, should i add water and then drop the whole slurry on some chips, should i store these in a plastic baggies or something until next year?

Starting spores outside of sterile jars is really tough to do without contaminations. I've tried making a couple ground corn cob cakes with no spawn and using about 8-10 prints per turkey roaster pan. Spores took off and it got about 50% colonized before green mold settled in
Its obviously possible to start shrooms like that cause nature does it that way but the spores have a difficult time beating out everything else.

I've heard many successful stories (including my own) of fruiting outside with great results, but what your asking would be like asking nature to do all the work throughout the whole process (incubation into fruiting).
Maybe it could work, but I don't thinks it's likely.

I watched a tv program not long ago where a mushroom gatherer used a blender and blended a load of mushroom caps together and then poured the sludge into holes around a pine tree to "plant" spores for future years but I don't know if this applies to all kinds of shrooms
