hi, i found a fairly large patch of these this morning. i feel pretty sure that they are psilocybe cyanescens, but i would like to be absolutely sure.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v452/nicksilverrain/IMG_1766.jpg
Habitat: found growing in grass among maple tree leaf litter, cedar trees growing near by, just a few ft. from a foot path. (others grew nearby in leafy and woody debris)
Gills: gill colour is a dark, rusty brown, some are a slightly lighter brown
Stem: mostly whitish (parts are light tan) slightly tough, but bendable
Cap: light to dark brown (some have a purple/black film on them) wavy margin
Spore print color: light purple/brown, some blue
Bruising: definite blue bruising
Location: southern gulf islands, british columbia, canada
is there anything else thes could possibly be? let me know what you think, thanks.

Psilocybe cyanescens, but be aware of deadly look-alikes. Those in the picture are P. cyanescens, though. Good find.

Good find bro! I found few good spots over the last two days. Found several spots of Amanita Muscaria. Those are crazy though. I sat outside my house all night and day almost.

so what are these deadly look-alikes you speak of, and what differing characteristics do they have. i think the blue bruising coupled with the wavy brown cap is a good indicator of being cyan and not another. what do you think?

Yep. Agreed. Actually the lookalikes are more scary when compared to certain variants of P. stunzii rather than P. cyanescens. You seem to know what you're doing.
