question about digital scales
    #7548509 - 10/22/07 09:29 PM (14 years, 1 month ago)

Ok...I know this may be moved, but I didn't know where to put it.

I have a digital scale that only measures in increments of 1 gram. I was thinking, if i wanted to, say, meaure out 1.5 grams, I could add to a pile until it reads 1 gram, then make a another pile and add to it until it reads 2 grams....then just cut the second pile in half....not the most accurate i know...but feasible?

Thanks,
M

That should work fine for mushrooms. You may be more accurate if you powder three grams and split that into two equal piles.

That should be fine but I've never seen digital scales that wouldn't read at least 10ths of grams. I'd question the accuracy of such a scale in general.

I have a digital scale that works just the same. The kind I have is made for kitchen use, not... "herbal" - so it doesn't show a reading that low.

Test the accuracy w/ a nickel. A nickel weighs exactly 5g. If the accuracy is good, then your method of dividing sounds great.

Teonanacatl, open up my eyes
This sacrament, this prayer, beyond the world of lies
Guide me clearly through that which I dont understand
Give me strength to find the path
Help me fight any demons as you flow through me wholely
This is my prayer, that you protect me from evil, and bring me closer to peace
And open up my eyes, so i can see things as you do
Amen
