Well I dont have the time to dry them, nor the equipment but, is it possible to freeze magic mushrooms and they not spoil/rot? how do I do it if so.

Dry them before freezing unless you want a gooey mess when you defrost them.

Would this possibly work without drying first if maybe they are only used in tea after being defrosted? I mean i know they would be a slimy gooey mess but that wouldn't really matter if they were going into hot water for tea would it?

it's not hard to dry them, you might as well do it, all you have to do is put them on a paper plate with out touching each other, and set the plate in a cabinet or shelf or anywhere they won't get disturbed. try to keep them away from light as well. if you want them extra dry, try desiccant. I keep them in the freezer after they are dried, and they seem to last a long time.

is what a big deal? putting them in the freezer before they are dry? I've never tried that but it doesn't sound too great since mushrooms are mostly water.

DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE FREEZER!!!! I did that once, and they lost sooo much potency once they thawed. It was a waste of an entire flush of mushrooms.
put them in the fridge if you are going to use them within the week, and if you are going to use them later than that, dry them out and then freeze them if you like. But just dry them out. They don't need all that much room to do it, they just need to have access to fresh, dry air. Thats all.
but DO NOT FREEZE THEM!!!

You don't need equipment to dry out shrooms, especially this time of year. I have a dehydrator from my other cooking forays, but it's not necessary.

Never put your shrooms in the freezer unless they are in a shielded vacuum tube, which they aren't--unless you have access to science equipment. It's unnecessary. If they are properly and thoroughly dried they will keep for many months in an environment with little exposure to air, heat, or light.

if you're putting them up for a few days anyway, might as well just lay them out on a plate and put them up in your closet or something, let them dry out some and you won't have to eat as much

I made way too much mushroom tea once, had one glass and i was their man. So I froze about 2L of it, and had some about a month later and there was no noticeable loss of potency.

And there is where God lives, where the dead live, the spirits and the saints, a world where everything has already happened and everything is known. That world talks. It has a language of its own. I report what it says. The sacred mushroom takes me by the hand and brings me to the world where everything is known. It is they, the sacred mushrooms, that speak in a way I can understand."

I once had a paper lunch baggy full of shrooms from a flush that I put in my mini fridge to chill for a day or two before I dried them (don't ask)...turns out they were too close to the cooling element in the mini and the whole bag frooze straight through. I guess the humidity built up too and they were like solid ice all the way through...it was a mess.
I let em thaw for a few hours then dried them normal with a fan/damp-rid and they had no noticeable differences as far as look or potency. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Just don't freeze them, just put it in a oxygen free bag that's absolutely sealed, that'll keep them fresh. You may freeze them after you do that, although it's not necessary.

Actually putting fresh shrooms in a sealed bag will rot them faster than anything. Unless they're dried out they need to be placed in something breathable like a paper bag, preferably in a fridge.
There seems to be no benifits to freezing shrooms....for long term storage just dry them out and store in a sealed container like any kind of jar with something like silica gel or damp ride to maintain the dry state....they will last for years. I keep mine in a big plastic peanut butter jar with a few little paper-towel packets of damp rid....keeps em fresh and ready to go indefinatly.
