Yo, how much do you think I get get for 40 CDs at a pawn shop? They're all in good condition btw.
I'm not a crackhead, I'm just getting money together cuz I'm gonna grow some magic fungi.
Think $100 would be enough to get spores and all the other shit I need to grow some?

Yea you should be able to pull it for $100 or just over. The pressure cooker is most expensive thing you need.
If you have a list of cds I might buy some from ya pawn shops don't give ya shit for them.

You won't get much at a pawn shop, or even at a used CD store, but you can get decent prices at Amazon if you're willing to go through a bit more trouble. (Listing, packaging & shipping).
I had a fairly large collection of CD's, and decided to weed out those that I wasn't listening to anymore. I sold them over the course of about 6 months on Amazon, and made a few hundred dollars. If yours are newer & in good condition, you'll probably net 4 or 5 bucks a piece after Amazon takes their cut.

Hmmm. Does it cost money to do it on Amazon?
The CDs are mostly shit IMO. There are some good ones like 3 Doors Down, USDA, Linkin Park, but it's mostly rap and country.

Pawn shop?
No way, like said go with Amazon or similar sites. You might be able to get double or triple what the pawn shop might offer.
Is auctioning on eBay an option?

Yeah but it seems like the shipping cost and the cost to even put a picture on the Ebay gallery would make it worth taking to a pawn shop.

If you sell them on eBay, sell them in groups by genre. All of the rap CDs in one, all the country CDs in another, et cetera. Keeping it genre-specific and listing them as such will allow you to fetch a better price from fans of those types of music. Especially if there's a small bid war over them. I guarantee you'll get more cash out of them that way than if you sell them in one big lump.
Same concept applies if you decide to use Amazon.

depends on the cd's.. how new they are, how popular, condition etc.
and generally.. places that buy used cds/dvds/games will give anywhere from 1/3rd of what they will sell it for to 15-20% of what they will sell it for. most used cds go for like 5$. so your looking around 2$ per.. little more if theyre brand new... usually you always get less than you expect.. just so you know, dont think your gonna score big or sumthin
and yea, dont go to a pawn shop to sell cd's/dvds.. go hit up a store that specializes in used cd's/dvds
