Southern California Fires
    #7550524 - 10/23/07 11:34 AM (16 years, 3 months ago)

somehow around 8 separate fires got started, anyways I view this as a very representational experience of how people spend their lives in an emotional state.

when you know the end is comming do you pace the floors in anxiety? Do you drink your worries away? Do you try and make the best of the moment which could be the last? Do you have sureness in your heart? Are you still passionate about what you love?

How do you step off of a 100 foot poll? Most people would do it with doubts, guilt, fear and regret knowing that death is imminent some people wouldn't want to step off.

The answer to this question depicts how you spend your life living, having to step off of a 100 foot poll is having to except that inevitably you will die, so in what emotional state you die in depends on how you would answer

The people who wouldn't want to step off are typically those who don't want to except their own fate

Most people typically spend they're lives in anxiety frenzy's with confusion, doubt, guilt, fear and depression. And they'd keep their emotional state with them to the very end.

P.S. Does anyone know any techniques to prevent houses from burning? Any homemade fire retardant recipes or advice for those of us who will possibly be swallowed by flames

How do you step off of a 100 foot poll is a Zen proverb, which I see as an analogy to this current situation.

Its important to remain content with losing everything and making the most of the moment, because thats what life is.

You know your going to lose EVERYTHING, how you deal with this paradox is up too you.

Try living five miles from the fires and being completely surrounded by them.

You'll understand what the "panic" is about.

Last night, I was standing in my driveway just watching it creep up over the mountains on each side of our house.

Dance really carefully, with appropriate pressure, and you will eventually drive the pole into the ground like a nail. Once you reach the ground, you get away, scot free. The only thing you can really DO is dance and have fun.

I don't know. I got nothing.

I really liked your post!

Although i may advise others in a general way regarding all types of mushroom grows, and may even post question from other forums about growing "active" mushrooms, i only grow non-"active" mushrooms and edibles.

And if you really have to try to have some sort of plan for returning.

If there is no return then just accept it.

I would actualy not step off so much as dive off instead. If im gonna get that hurt, i might as well ensure a quick painless death.

I would have as many sprinklers as possible, and lots of sand surrounding my house.
