If I am honest with myself, (it could happen) everything that I do and strive for in this life is the result of my experiences in early childhood. All of my personal goals and beliefs are a result of my struggles to work through the dysfunctional aspects, or embrace the strengths of those early experiences. This really is what the personality structure of Icelander (and I believe everyone) is all about. To change any of this would be , IMO, a tremendous act of will. I doubt that it is really possible. Carlos Castaneda's Don Juan said that seers come into their powers later in life with their personalities already set. That's why there are all kinds of seers, from the sublime to the idiotic and the good natured to the downright evil.
