Do you guys think the yellow stuff is metabolites, water dammage or contam? Should I birth this cake and give it a try? (my cake is fully colonized by now, these pics are 2 weeks old. The cake seems much whiter now also...)

Allow one full week after full colonization before birthing. NEVER cold shock cubensis. It sets them back. RR

its been about a week since mycelium has completely colonized the outside of the jar, so I guess it'll b fine to birth them today. Thanks about the tip RR, I didn't knew to avoid cold shocking with cubensis. Does this goes for every cubensis strain?

It had more of a slimey look to it than mold. And it only appeared where the mycelium was in contact with the water on the inside of the jar. I birthed it since and the cake had a nice and fresh shroomy smell to it. And most of it got away during the dunk and after I rinsed them.
