Just found the records of Wasson's vist on the internet. I've been looking for them for a while. Florida Mycology had them for sale for a while but I missed it.

I haven't read the Life article in a while. If only more Wall Street bankers (and regular folk as well) would be allowed by society to legally investigate things like this, we'd be better off. Imagine someone doing this today--they certainly wouldn't make the cover of Life magazine!

I do hate that Americans seeking to trip destroyed Maria Sabina and her ancient ways.

The translation of her her Veladas is a great read. I've read most of Wasson's writings, although most are outrageously expensive. I haven't read Soma - that's about the only one I missed. He's a personal hero of mine.
