This quarter I'm only taking ten credits.
History 111 and PolySci 101. In fact, I have History lecture in half and hour, but I won't be going. Don't schedule for next quarter until the second week of November.

2 online classes - English & Bio
Speech - M,W,F, 10-10:50am Graphic Communications - T, Th, 6-8:45pm Bio Lab - Wednesdays 8-9:40am
I hate gen-eds.... like taking my senior year over again. At least this is my last semester of bullshit classes.
Couldn't have made my last gen-ed sched any better though... I'm only on campus for 3 hours out of the day at max.

Taking core requirements next semester. Computer applications, Math II, Spanish II, and an environmental science course I'm not sure of yet. School three days a week, one internet course and one hybrid course. I'll have an A.A. after the Spring.

Hey commie,
I take it you are a physics major? Any specific direction you plan on taking that? Theoretical? Experimental? Engineering R&D?
Are you an undergrad? cause those are some intense classes for undergrad.
My school offers one semester of quantum mechanics, which, I unfortunately wont have to take for my physics major.

Yea I am a physics major. Im still an undergrad, and these classes are at the junior level (300 level classes). Your school doesnt require quantum for a physics major? Thats very weird, especially since it is on the GRE. My program require three semesters of quantum, but is notably deficient in optics and nuclear physics (each of which are also on the GRE).
What direction do I plan on taking? I dont know. Its looking like I may be able to get into grad-school (yea, more education for less pay!). Im not real keen on the university setting and would shoot for industry or govt. funded private lab. There are quite a few subfields I would enjoy, condensed matter, nuclear, quantum (quantum computing), relativity and gravity. The only things I have really have discounted are pure theoretical, astro., and bio-physics. If I tire of the stress of bieng a researcher, I think I would like teaching at a junior college. Less pay, but a more kick-back lifestyle.

Applied physics majors dont have to take any quantum specific classes unfortunately.
However, I do take two semesters of modern physics, so hopefully I'm exposed to it there.
I like studying about theoretical, I'm down with the whole abstract thinking thing. But the more I think about it, the more I have begun to enjoy the experimental side.
Its a trip to think that I can reproduce physical phenomena in the lab, which behave according to simple functions that can be manipulated by something as straightforward as algebra. Often the world around us seems too, chaotic, to even begin to believe that.
Pi is a crazy cool movie...
haha sorry for that tangent. Oh, about grad school, don't you mean, less education, for more pay? :P

Heh, no. I could make more entering the field with my BS in a year and a half then I will going into my post doc in 7.5 years with a PhD.
The only reason to get a PhD is for the type of work you can do, not how much you make right out of school. You also have a higher ceiling with a PhD but the starting pay is less.

dunno, that's at least about a month and a half away unless they are changing the usual registration
edit: well, I looked at the spring schedule, and I'm going to be fucked for classes. nothing terribly interesting, and the ones I want/need are conflicting with others of the same necessity
